Nintendo's Biggest E3 Offerings
This year's E3 is going to be packed with amazing new Nintendo Switch and 3DS games. While we're still uncertain what Nintendo will show off at E3 2017, we've compiled the biggest games that we anticipate to be at the show. Click ahead for a look at what to expect.
E3 2017 runs June 13-15, with briefings from Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Bethesda, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft planned for the days before the show kicks off. You can find a full schedule in our feature on the publisher press conferences times.
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is a collection of the two main entries of the series with exclusive features, including: improved framerate, redone menus, high-resolution event graphics, and HD Rumble and Switch Pro Controller support.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Nintendo Switch is receiving a port of the critically acclaimed open-world action-RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The port marks the first time an Elder Scrolls game has appeared on a Nintendo platform.
FIFA 18
The video game industry's biggest sports franchise, FIFA, returns in September with a new entry with Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover for the first time ever. The single-player story mode, The Journey, returns, while there will of course be the usual gameplay improvements. Expect FIFA 18 to feature in a big way at EA's briefing this year.
Fire Emblem Warriors
Fire Emblem Warriors is a collaboration between Intelligent Systems and Koei Tecmo studios, Omega Force and Team Ninja. It's is a crossover between the Fire Emblem series and Koei Tecmo's Warriors franchise.
Hey Pikmin
Hey Pikmin is a Pikmin series spinoff made exclusively for 3DS. Unlike past titles, which were 3D real-time strategy games, this is a 2.5D sidescroller.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
Leaked ahead of E3, the latest collaboration between Nintendo and Ubisoft takes the form of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. We don't know much about the gameplay for this intriguing game, though it's rumored to be a turn-based strategy RPG that lets you control eight different Nintendo characters, as well as Rabbids dressed as Mushroom Kingdom characters. It looks wacky and bizarre, and we'll know more at E3, it seems.
NBA 2K18
While NBA Live 18 seeks to become a worthy contender, NBA 2K18 stands as the latest entry in the genre-dominating series. We don't yet know what to expect, but at the very least, you can expect the usual visual improvements and other refinements.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are the two newest versions in the Generation VII Pokemon series on 3DS. Both games feature an alternate storyline, as well as Pokemon that didn't appear in the original versions.
Pokken Tournament DX

Sonic Mania returns to the gameplay and visual style of the original Sonic the Hedgehog games on Sega Genesis. It's being developed primarily by programmers Christian "Taxman" Whitehead and Simon "Stealth" Thomley, who are both known by fans as major contributors to the Sonic ROM hack community.
Splatoon 2
Splatoon 2 is the Switch-exclusive sequel to the hit Wii U third-person shooter. It features a new campaign, weapons, maps, and modes.
Steep
Ubisoft's extreme sports game Steep had its flaws, but it did a good job for the most part of capturing the essence, appeal, and thrill of skiing and snowboarding. The game's footprint expands with a Nintendo Switch version, and it will be interesting to see how the game translates to Nintendo's hybrid console.
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey is the newest entry in the Super Mario series, and it returns to the more open-ended style of exploration previously seen in games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Wii-exclusive open world-RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles. It stars a new hero who's in search for something known as "Elysium."
