Best Black Friday Game Deals Still Available (Sunday Update)

By Jenae Sitzes on November 30, 2020 at 10:27AM PST

The products discussed here were independently chosen by our editors. GameSpot may get a share of the revenue if you buy anything featured on our site.

Update: Cyber Monday is now here, and we're tracking all the best deals. See our guide to the best Cyber Monday game deals for the latest and greatest discounts.

Black Friday deals have been running for the past week--and really, for the past month--at major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy, but now that it's Sunday, most Black Friday sales are starting to come to an end. Amazon and Target have already kicked off their Cyber Monday sales, and expect more Cyber Monday deals to go live by the end of the day. But though Black Friday may officially be in the rearview mirror, that doesn't mean all of its best deals are gone.

Some Black Friday sales are still running through Sunday, and you can find great deals on subscriptions, games, and more. If you're in the market for physical games, remember that physical Xbox One games and PS4 games can be played on the next-gen consoles as long as you have the version with a disc drive.

If you have a Series S or PS5 Digital, that means you won't be able to take advantage of these physical game deals, but digital sales are available as well. Most sales on digital storefronts cover both Black Friday and Cyber Monday--you can check those out below.

  • Steam Autumn Sale best deals
  • Xbox Live Black Friday sale best deals
  • PSN Black Friday sale best deals
  • Nintendo eShop Black Friday sale best deals

If you're shopping for a specific platform, see the best PS5 deals, the best Xbox Series X/S deals, and the best Nintendo Switch deals for Black Friday 2020. Otherwise, read on for some of the best Black Friday game deals still available on Sunday.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

$48 (was $60) | Available now

Platforms: PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series X

It's surprising to see such a significant markdown on the next-gen version of Assassin's Creed Valhalla so close to launch, though the PS4 and Xbox One versions have regularly been about $50 since even before the game released. GameStop is offering all versions of Assassin's Creed Valhalla for $48; this notably includes the PS5-specific version, which has generally stuck around $60. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions come with a free next-gen upgrade, so even if you don't have one of the new consoles now, you can get the enhanced version down the road (provided you get a Series X or PS5 with a disc drive).

Marvel's Avengers

$27 (was $60) | Available now

Though Square Enix's video game reimagining of Marvel's Avengers may not have sold as well as the publisher anticipated, the action-adventure game is worth it at this price, even if just for its excellent single-player story campaign. It also introduces a lesser-known protagonist, Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel, who shines as the game's central protagonist and, as editor Phil Hornshaw wrote in his Marvel's Avengers review, "provides it a moral and emotional heart."

Let's Go, Eevee and Let's Go, Pikachu are colorful remakes of Pokemon Yellow, which introduced the original 150 Pokemon, and though they may feel a bit too easy for longtime players, they're a perfect choice for kids and those new to the mainline Pokemon series. Please edit the article to note that the 70" vizio tv has hdmi 2.1 but it will not do 4k @120fps. The tv listed is a 60hz panel. Also I own 2 vizio tvs, one 48" 1080p which has worked perfectly for the entire time I've had it. I also own their flagship model from about 2years ago which was the P65-F1. It also has worked perfectly and I haven't had issues with it, beautiful 4k picture with very good hdr. Spend a little more money on your tv and get something good with good specs. Don't go to Walmart and get the cheap sub $500 tv and expect to have amazing quality. Do your research, the rtings.com website is excellent for knowing what is the best value tv

@duane33319: Slight addition: Unless you need a yard TV. I always have a cheap Walmart TV for taking outside during nice days. Rain, wind, drunken-watch-this damage, and bird poop all happen out there. ;)

    @CyberEarth:

My brother bought one years ago like 2008 and lasted for a few years. Screen would flicker and you had to hold the power button down hard to turn it on/off. Ended up throwing it away as it was on it's last legs.

The Xbox series X is like the best values machine in the last 30 years, it's like going to Japan and looking at every single game you can buy cheap, wrapped up, (well not quite)but the feeling you have having game pass, and pc, and Xbox cloud, and the value to play, and offset game streaming for the kids to play on their tablet while you watch s movie is wicked.

It's the golden era of gaming.

@Crazy_sahara: That’s funny because I can’t find a single reason to buy an XboxAgain if I already own a PC and a PSご.

Unless you’d like to buy one for no other reason than to support a corporation that hates humanity like MS does. Some people are just like that I guess.

@jsprunk: I like Xbox because it can emulate PS1, PS2, PS3, Nintendo 64, NES, GameCube, dream cast, sega Saturn, in Dev mode.

Pretty impressive, does it well. No idea what the hell your talking about.
