Marvel Avengers: Endgame Legends Series
Avengers: Endgame is here, and before you go and see the movie, check out ourreview. Sure you've avoided spoilers after the movie leaked online, but you may still want to know a bit more about these characters before heading into the theater. Luckily, Hasbro released a new set of Marvel Legends figures, featuring some of the characters from the upcoming film.
Hasbro sent us a box filled with Avengers: Endgame toys, and we'd thought we would take a closer look at the figures from the Legend series, which tend to be very detailed and posable. Most importantly, almost all the figures came with a piece of another figure in the line, Thanos.
All of the figures detailed in this gallery are set to release in stores this spring, and will be available at most major retailers. You can find them on Amazon now. They are each sold separately and will cost $20 each.
If you're looking for more on Endgame, check out a video looking back at the past 11 years of the MCU, how to avoid all the spoilers before the movie's release, and the Ant-Man defeating Thanos theory, which involves butts.
Marvel Avengers: Endgame Legends Series
The packaging is standard, and there are seven figures in the set. As you can see, all but the Captain America figure come with a piece of Thanos.
Let's check out what these figures look like out of the box.
Hercules
He comes with an extra pair of hands, his sword, and his ax.
Hercules
Nighthawk
If you're unfamiliar with the character, don't worry. He's a member of Squadron Sinister, a group of '60s villains who were modeled after DC's Justice League. Nighthawk is Marvel's Batman equivelant.
Nighthawk
His cape is extremely heavy, and standing him up like this was quite the challenge.
Citizen V
I never thought I'd see a Citizen V Marvel Legends figure. This character comes from a very specific time from Marvel comics where Helmut Zemo--the son of the villain from Captain America: Civil War--posed as a superhero, with other supervillains, to form the team the Thunderbolts.
Citizen V
Living Laser
Here's another "I never thought this would be a Marvel Legend" toy. This classic Iron Man villain was once a guy with laser gauntlets. Then, he died, became living light, and here we are.
Living Laser
Captain America
It's nice to see Cap with his shield again. While this is modeled after Endgame, the colors don't match up with what we've seen in the trailers.
Here's Ronin AKA Hawkeye. This figure comes with the most accessories of the lot. He has two swords, a hood, and an extra hand that is throwing ninja stars.
Ronin
Here's Ronin's extra hand.
Ebony Maw
Here's Ebony Maw from Infinity War. The face sculpt is pretty fantastic on this one, and what's cool is that it's taller than the other figures, which you'll see in a second.
Thanos pieces
Every figure in this set, except Captain America, came with a piece for a build-a-figure, which is Thanos with a giant, two-bladed sword.
Thanos
As you (can't) see, Thanos has his Infinity Gauntlet on.
Thanos
There is a lot of detail to Thanos' armor, and he looks fantastic.
Thanos, Ebony Maw, and Captain America
As you can see, the build-a-figure Thanos is a whole lot taller than the standard Legends figure size (Captain America). And the standalone Ebony Maw is a bit taller than the average figure as well.
