User Rating: 7.7 | Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir PS2
Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir is the second installment of the Fullmetal Alchemist games for the Playstation 2. It is also a fun game that dosen't take much time to learn the ropes. You start the game off in the desert city of Leto, where you control Edward Elric, the Fullmetal Alchemist, and fighting along side you is his younger brother, Alphonse Elric.
As you play the first chapter, you learn the reasons why Alphonse is a suit of armor, and why Edward has artificial arm and leg called "automail". The story has 7 chapters of non-stop action, a combo system that is similar to any hack and slash game, and RPG leveling elements.
Throughout the game you will visit different cities and areas filled with many enemies and lots of items which makes up for the fact that there are no shops in the game. The game also features cell shaded graphics which stays truer to the anime experience of Fullmetal Alchemist along with some real anime footage made specially for the game.
Although sometimes the fighting can get a bit boring, and the dialouge can get pretty annoying playing the second time around, especially when you just want to play and skip the dialougue.

There are also hidden items in the game, including little kittens Alphonse can collect to make him fight better (followed by some very funny cut-scene sequences), and purple gems that can unlock hi-res pictures found in the game the second time around.

All in all a great game, very easy to pick up if you are just want to have a good time hacking and slashing enemies. Its a great game fit for the fans of Fullmetal Alchemist that were slightly disappointed by the first game, and anyone wanting to give the game a chance.
