Don't let the slow pace fool you, this is an excellent game, with a very unique concept.

User Rating: 8 | From Dust PS3
You are from dust, literally. In the beginning, the breath, controlled by the player, is created from music.

From dust, a poetic experience, put's you in the place of the breath, the god that leads it's people through the passage. Why you do this is not clear, which only contributes to the experience. A sense of emergence follows you in every level.

The gameplay mechanics are simple, you take matter, and place it. Using the power of the breath, you are capable of picking up water, sand, mud, lava, and plants. The way this happens is purely magical, as you pick up matter you will see the matter that surrounds the empty space collapse, and as you place the matter you will see it merge with the rest, this game has magnificent physics. The way you can interact with the environment around you is just amazing. Especially when you see that with each level, there is a dramatic change of pace and surroundings.

The environment in the game might be beautiful, but that doesn't mean it's harmless... The whole point of the breath's existence is to protect the tribe from said environment.

The natural disasters that express the environments' rage include: Tsunamis, Floods, Droughts, volcano eruptions, and more.

The only reason I find it hard to give this game a higher score is just how empty the game is. After you finish, you might not remember this game. What I mean is; there are no memorable moments. The game induces a constant sense of calmness, and rarely delivers a truly challenging experience without getting frustrating.

I recommend this game for anyone who wants a break from all the action going on in life.
