what can i say?

User Rating: 1.8 | Frogger (Majesco Box) SNES
Everybody knows about frogger..its a brilliant consept, fun to play and a genius idea, and for those reasons this review will be viewed be some as blasphemous, but read the review, and take into consideration my arguments

I have personally no idea when the original frogger was made, nor what gaming apparatus it what made for...i could only guess an arcade(after the seinfeld episode when george had the high score on one, hehe) And at the time is was pure and utterly brilliant, you play as a frog, and you have to cross a highway with heavy traffic, then a river by jumping on floating logs and turtles swimming by, totally sweet concept in the era of game making

Now keep in mind that this game came out on the snes in 1998 two years after the nintendo 64 came out, which would suggest to me that gaming technology would had made some big advancements. Now picture yourself in the position of ``head of the snes-games marketing`` and your job with the snes is rapidly declining, so that you probably would only have the chance to publish...lets say 1 game. Now this game is almost sure to be fruitless because of the lacking interest in snes games, so that it is your job to make something at least with a sentimental value to it, just to say: thank you snes for wonderful years of entertainment, and you will always be in our hearts..

``sniffling``

Now when you have this in mind, and ``hey``..probably not far from the truth, and you pick up frogger for the snes, you will think for yourself..``well frogger is always a jolly play`` i can assure you, that you will be totally baffled, and only find that this game is immaculately lacking LIFE, or to say it in a another way, void from joy..void from from traces of inspiration that usually inhabits the human mind to create a game, and this is it, incarnated

The only sounds this game has are totally annoying, like the jumping or dying sounds. The graphics are some of the worst i have seen, the frog doesent even look like a friggin` frog. The playability and control of the game i guess are good, but what is the idea of playing beyond level 1!!!!!
Anyway, if so the mere purpose for making this game were to make it possible to play frogger on the snes, just a cute little tune playing in the background is not demanding much, nor would take alot of effort to put in!!

This game is a disgrace to the frogger name, and an insult to the snes, and..you name it
