Extremely fun, underrated and original.

Freedom Fighters is a squad based action game available on all systems. You play as Chris Stone. The Soviet Union has came to New York City and has taken over the city, and you must fight your through and win the war. You also are trying to find your missing brother, kidnapped by the Soviets. I won't give away much of the plot, but you can say the "twist" is pretty predictable and the ending is predictable and not very rewarding, so don't expect a feeling of accomplishment when you finish the game. Like in Jeff's review, there really is no reason to play through it again, but some of the cheats are fun to play around with, especially the nail gun one :) Third person shooter vets like me can cruise through the game in about 8 hours or less, so unfortunately the extremely fun gameplay is short and sweet, like most action games. You have a variety of weapons at your disposal, such as machine guns and pistols, and grenades and molotov cocktails. One of the greatest features is the ability to command the various troops and allies at your disposal, and it is a "blast"[literally, pun intended, lol] to send your group of troops to totally annihilate the secret enemy hideout, and the ragdoll physics as enemies are blasted away is quite humorous. The sound is really great, and the voices of the various characters are all great and life like, and the guns sound crisp and clean. The multiplayer is nothing special, but it has small entertainment value for about 1o mins at a time. Overall, I spent about three months playing this game, playing through it various times with glitches and cheats. Buy it. :) Hope my review helped. Merry Christmas, and Happy gaming.
