Do I need a gold membership?

What would I be missing if I do not have a Xbox live Gold membership? Would leaderboards and drivatars still be available?

@Tux1515: I believe no. I have demo and its shows that 1 player requires an xboxone but 2-12 (or smthg like that) requires Xbox live gold. I think u r ok if you play the game solo.
