I dont keep my xbox in standby mode because it uses a lot of power to continuously leave it on. Now every time I play a game nearly, there is an update for it! on the 360 there was hardly any of this! and im not talking just a few hundred meg... I tried to play BF4... needed a 1 gig update.... tried to play AC4 needs a 1.8 gb update! I heard constant updates on the ps3 were bad but come on.

Does anyone else feel annoyed about it or is it just me?

That's crap. Not that there are updates on Xbox One. The thing just came out, it's to be expected, but that there are updates all the time on 360 games. That's just flat out not true. Seems like every third app/game I open on the 360... There's an update.

FWIW, I'm a power off person and I don't have the patching issues that you mention but I am not playing the two games you mention. When patches happen I just jump to another option, different console, "Xbox snap TV", phone, listen to music, read, talk to myself....

I let my xbox stay in standby all the time. Have not noticed any difference in my power bill. Anyhow I am happy that we are getting updates. I wish MS would update the actual Xbox software though.

It may cost an extra quarter or fifty cents per month. No biggie. I mean, if you want to go green, gaming isn't a great hobby.

I am loving leaving it on standby, I never have to update anything, it feels so seamless. I also have not seen any difference in my power bill.

The updates are pretty big. The latest Dead Rising is a whopping 13 gigs! Yeah, it's a bit annoying.
