Xbox One game recommendations

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I would like to get him a game which will last him...he's into his single player games and loves RPG's - he likes games like Dark Souls 1&2, Ryse: Son of Rome and Shadow of Mordor but I really don't know what else he'd like and I would prefer to surprise him rather than ask him... Does anyone have any recommendations please!

There's Dragon Age:Inquisition.Fallout 4 is coming soon,that's if you want to pre-order it for him to play at a later date.That's all I can think of now.Good luck.

It very hard to recommend a game to someone you don't know you could get a store gift card that way he can use it for future releases or grab what he wants now

If he liked Shadow of Mordor, Mad Max is a good choice

@jadetruexo: I agree with the two recommendations above, Mad Max and Dragon Age: Inquisition are some excellent choices. I also believe the new Batman game would be a good choice as well, and though some wouldn't agree, I think now that they have fixed all of the bugs, both of the Assassins Creed games are excellent(and of course there is a new one coming out 10/23/2015).

As Dave462a say's, it is a difficult thing to do. However, I looked at getting Ryse: Son of Rome myself, but not one of my questions put to friends, Facebook friends etc., got a positive response. I'm sure somone on this board stated it was a dev eye candy excercise if you will. One I would would say is Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. Yes it is older and there will be an update needed by the console, however it is great fun and frustrating in equal measure. Very rewarding though when you defeat a monstor or an enemy a few levels above the main character. I would say though, perhaps a brand spanking new purchase in front. If he likes sports, PES 16.

The Witcher 3 is also a great RPG

If he likes Dark Souls 1&2 then I'd consider Lords of the Fallen as it's in the same vain just a easier. Other games that should be in anyones collection that had that criteria would be Batman Arkham Knight, Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, and Metal Gear Solid 5.

@jadetruexo: When is his birthday? If you can hold off for another 2 months, we've got some awesome titles that are just about to come out like Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront.

@fenrirspack: his birthday is on 9th of November doesn't Fallout 4 come out 10th? I could pre order that for him as I know he'll love that
