Have anyone tried this? I don't have a real broadband connection aviable in my town and I was wondering if I would be able to logon to download patches or even a XBLA game once in a while.

You can only fit a broadband cable in the port.

I heard from other gamers that you can connect to XBL silver with a 56k speed.

errr wrong! You have to have an ethernet cable in your computer, once your connected to internet (on your pc) you can share the connection to the xbox.

Yeah, I'd like to know if its possible, and I don't want to wait for a youtube video to load (seems stupid seeing as it is to get dial-up to work online lol. So can anyone help? I've tried to connect to the playstation store by plugging the ethernet cable into my ps3, but it wouldn't work, I am a complete noob at networking though, can anyone help? It sure would be nice to download some demos of psn/xbl... (Even though it would take forever)

You expect someone to quit their job, sell their house, and move just so they can download a video game demo?

It's not just for a videogame demo. With broadband he could play people on Live, download and stream videos much faster, view much more porn than at his current rate. See, the benefits are endless! I'd move for all of that.

Thanks for your "concern" but I'm quite happy with the place I chose to live and I'm willing to wait some years for a decent internet link. For all the objective replies, thanks a lot. I'm getting an WI-FI acess point and try on the 360, as soon as I get one.

Don't do Wifi over a dial-up connection... Not only is the speed too slow to begin with, but the Wifi signal is likely to decrease too. You should direct wire it from a router, it'll be cheapest and give you the best speed.

thanks for the tip but I do have a ethernet switch for that. Using Wi-Fi on the 360 would be more experimentation and nessecity for my DS. Anyway, thanks for the info.
