Is there any other way to use wireless internet connection on Xbox 360 other than the wireless adapter for $100??

I am going to have my laptop hooked into a VGA input on my LCD HDTV, so can I do anything with my laptop (which has wireless internet connection without any plugins) to give my Xbox 360 internet connection?

I could've sworn there is a way, but I can't remember how, I'm sure someone here remembers or has a link to an older thread.

If you have a connection with the laptop, just go into internet options, change it so others can connect to it, then just share the connection with the 360.

Personally, I use a Linksys wireless adapter that I got for my original Xbox, not sure how much it cost me, less than $100 I think, but it links pretty efficiently to my wireless router. You should just head to Best Buy and explain to Geek Squad what you want to do and that you think the official adapter is too expensive. They could help better than any of us.
