I got the same impression when I got mine, but I guess that s by design.
I read from someone in here that it has to do with a piece that recognizes if you have the 360 in the flat position or standing, but I m not sure about that.
That's because they're cheap. MS cut corners by making it with cheap parts so their profit would be higher. Why do you think they break so easily. They're a piece of junk. I wish PS3 had the games that 360 does. I'd make the switch in a flash.
The 360 is a piece of junk. If it didn't have the best games it'd be left in the dust.

You do not even know what your talking about, Microsoft rushed there console to try and earn $ and be the first console to be next gen, that noise your hearing in your 360 is the part of the 360 which reconizes if it is laying horizontal or vertical.
They don't break so easily, it's just that people dont take care of them, iv'e had mine since launch and it's working perfectly fine, and if it does ( which I dont ) then I am protected by a 3 year warrenty

If it was rushed at launch, then why isn't it any better 3 years later? You'd think in the newer models, they'd fix their failures. It's a cheap system with a HUGE failure rate. Like I said, if it didn't have the games, people wouldn't be putting up with the fact that it always breaks.
If you're launch system hasn't broken you're either lying or part of the extreme minority.

It's one of the worst constructed gaming consoles in gaming history. I treated mine like a god and it still got a RROD.
every time I pick mine up it makes clicking noises like there is something loose inside, anyone else notice this?MonacoX
Yea dude seriously mine sounds the exact same way like something is sliding around inside..its been like that since I had it but no RROD yet!!! THANK GOD

I've noticed this too, and I can never decided what if anything should be rolling around in there. This occurs with everyone I know who has gotten a 360 since launch. I don't really know what to tell you.
However, they are sturdy, you can tell because the box is tight around the framework and the parts don't have any room to move if dropped.

Yeah i've treated mine equally as good and it still craps out on me, even after I sent it to microsoft. I'm sure some peoples' xboxes break because of bad treatment, but i'd say the overwhelming majority of problems are microsoft's fault.
