Xbox 360 scratched my modern warfare 2 disk :(

i put the modern warfare 2 disk in to play some spec ops when i heard a clicking sound, then the console froze and i restarted it, heard the clicking sound again so i took out the disk then theres like this huge scratch on my disk going all-round in one spot, so i try to play multiplayer but when i was on the menu it says "clean disk" or sumthing like that, and dont give me that "oohh NOES, u moved teh console!!LOLLOL11!" crap,

i've had my 360 for bout 1and a half years now and i never got red ring or e74, and now im afraid to play any games in fear of scratching them, so anyway, will i be able to trade in the scratched disk to GAME stores, i bought my copy from first day will they give me another copy or do i have to shell out 45 bucks to get another copy?

If you have a friend that owns a copy of Modern Warfare 2 you could ask him if you could install it on your console...

this might not even work, as his disc is unreadable pretty much, the xbox reads the discs at random times to verify the game is in the console still. what it reads, we dont know.

might be screwed and you have to go buy a new game, but do you have your xbox standing up or laying down?

you should be thankful, I would hope my xbox would murder me in my sleep if i bought that gamehansmacher

I think the modern warfare 2's are oddly waited because I have had mine and an additional 3 other friends have thekr modern warfares scratched by their xbox's.

Do this, same thing happened to me with RE5 and i borrowed my cousins and installed it to my hard drive then popped in my copy of re5 and it worked, TRUST ME it will work

If you take it to GAME or Gamestation they will fix it for £3. thats if you live in UK. Oh yeah, make sure you don't have the 360 laying down when playing..
