I currently do not have a 360 and was wondering if its even worth to get a refurbished one if its the only one I can get? I would get a 200 dollar 20gb one off of amazon.

Then I might, just have to take some serious care of it.

do not... repeat... DO NOT go refurbished. They never last. I worked at a store and they were returned almost every time.

You're better off buying a used one from gamestop but not a refurbished one. Since the refurbished ones have died once upon a time. Really smart thing to do would be to invest in a new arcade maybe and buy the hard drive off of ebay for 20 bucks or whatever.

well , every new system ive had failed within 6 months to 3 yrs,

so either way buy at your own risk i dont care if its brand new ,

they are alarmingly faulty

i have just gone through mine tonight, e74 is the error , , and ms told me nothing but a bunch of oh take this off take that off bla bla bla that didnt work

seriously im about had it , ive been playing 360 since it came to be ,and all i bought were crap units ,

im calling for a major recall ,
they just now warrented e74s when mines to late its just not fair , ,

and when you call them

you get some indonesian guy ,

so ya buy at your own risk ,, my 08 unit is the worst 360 i have, and is the only one that works it does not let me rip all my cds to my hard drive like the 05s up to 07s do

my advice find a 07 -06 unit

may be faulty but they read and rip every cd without problems

why people hate on refurbs , when you cant even buy a new 360 thatll last,

ive been through 5 in its first 2 yrs on the market some 5 more during the rest of the time ,

so you know what i think

microsoft has a little button inside thier office that renders 360s unusable ,, over time , ,

just like how they ban people off xbox live, they have one just to give you 3 flashing lights or 1 flashing e74 , ,

how the heck can my 360 play fine last night , and give me e74s today , all i did last night was watch a movie , then turn it off ,

what the heck , can that have done ,

guess you gotta prey before you turn yours on !
