Look on the side of the box at the power that it uses. Jasper's use 12.1 amps. Falcon is 14, and Zephyr is 16Silverpeel
hmm aside from that? how about the volts written at the back of the unit? i heard it should read about 150 if jasper.
AVOID a zephyr at all costs, and if you somehow manage to get a Zenon God help you. If you don't buy used and buy new, buy an arcade because by the sound of it you already own a 360, and therefore probably a hard drive. It's apparently much easier to find a Jasper arcade, and you can just use your old hard drive to save money.
The amps are written right by the volts, I think they are all 12 volts anyways. Here is a pic to help:

so it has to read 12.1A for it to be a jasper type.. nice find thanks
Yep just look for the "12.1A" on either the side of the box for power consumption or through the window like that on the 360 itself and it is a jasper..guaranteed. No other model can operate on 12.1ASilverpeel
thanks for the info.. oh btw is it ok for me to get a falcon?!? is falcon types are reliable?!?

I've never had problems with the Falcon and I own two of them, hell I have a Halo 3 360 and its still going strong. Its much smarter to get a Jasper though if you can.lol, i have a Zenon, dont have any problems right now12345yon
how long did you have a 360?!? i heard xenon and zephyr are both RROD prone..
There might be, it just depends what they have on the shelves. Just check the power consumption on the box and you could probably find oneAre there many Elite Jaspers out right now?

I don't know about regular black elites, but all resident evil red elites are jasper models
i was in best buy yesterday and it looks like they're (microsoft or whoever), putting the manufact. date in that little window.
From my understanding, anything that's dated 10/08 and above will likely be a "jasper" chipped system.
I checked three of them plus the amp usage and they all were "jaspers".
hope this helps!
