Interesting. That new motherboard setup sort of hints at lower power consumption, which could be indicative of a newer 65nm core. Are they selling the transfer cable separately as an accessory? I'm wondering how I will transfer the data on my 20GB HD to my new one.
you should of put xbox 360 elite review for the topic, would geta lot more responses.  I want to know if this machine will be any quieter then the previous xbox's.
im hoping walmart lets us buy our elites on 29th at 12 am and not make us wait till 9am in the morning the next day like i had to twice trying to buy a wii...
Well, the stores probably open around 9 or 10am. It looks like they are pre-loading the consoles at stores (as people have been able to get their hands on them already), so I'm hoping stores will actually have them on the shelves on the 29th.
We have 18 in stock now at my local Best Buy, and we are getting another shinpment of 12 in this coming week. So that will make a total of 30. So every store should get a good amount in. Don't worry about this one, there won't be low supply.
The new motherboard is interesting to me. Hypothetically speaking the Elite very well could be less vulnerable to the causes that result in the red rings. I'm all ready for one; this article is icing.
Call me crazy but I closely compared the 2 pics of the old and new mobo for the 360 on his website and I see the exact same number of capacitors. The only thing that's changed is their size and orientation.
