Only covers the RROD...just tell them you're getting the rings and you should be able to get a replacement.

Mine had a RROD scare, but then started working fine, and then my disc tray stopped opening so I called them and told them it was the red rings, I just got a replacement console with HDMI today which made me pretty happy, also the one I sent in was a launch console.

The extended warranty ONLY covers the red ring of death..that's already widely known. It's fact!

I will be sending my 360 (Pro) out as soon as I get my coffin. My TV only supports Component and HDMI. My question is if they send me a new or refurbished 360 and they send one with HDMI does it also have a component option. I obviously dont mind if it has HDMI but my TV is only has 1080i. Does anyone know if component is also included on the back of every 360.

Unless you are allready using the HDMI port on your tv what does it matter? But they do have component option. Doesn't matter if your tv can only do 1080i HDMI is just an easier way of connecting to the tv with video & 5.1 surround in one cable.

I think the idea is to have the RROD fixed before the three year period is up...

Does anyone even remember when they three year warranty started...? I forgot...
