X Clamp fix - urgent -!!!

So I'm gonna take my 360 apart today and I was wondering can I just use Thermal paste to put on the GPU and CPU and thats it? i'm not gonna bother with the screws cause I don't think i'll need them

You do know there is a three year warranty on red ring 360's?, just call MS and they will replace it
