Only time will tell, but this game has to have top notch graphics with nice frame rate and a good storyline/gameplay, so it's possible, but more likely to be 9.0/9.5ish.
I also found GTA4 getting a 10 very suspicious considering in the review the guy mention three or four things that were wrong with the game. One of those thing was its mucky graphics.
You can't tell, Gamespot often gives really dumb scores, I mean their rating system is bizarre. 10 for Gta, 8 for NG2, 8.8 Zelda: TP. I think GoW2 will be way better then GoW1 and really impressive but it will probably have a score that's too low.
At least 9.5. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it got a 10. For me the first one could have been 10 if the story was a bit longer. I couldn't care if it got 10, just as long as they don't muck up the core gameplay, and from the gameplay video I feel its safe to say that it will remain the same. I'm a bit nervous about EPIC releasing the game only 2 years after the first, if they want a bit more time, thats fine with me. But for the love of God don't rush it.
This thread is at the hands skepticizim and prediction. It's way to early to tell, bottom line. Personally... I don't think any game(that exists) deserves a 10/10. No even GTA IV, and I deplore Gamespot for that. If Epic keeps the same gamplay formula and only adds "more" the game won't score a 10. Thats my predicition, but I personally feel that alot of the reviews on this site are flawed, so maybe it will.
How could it get a ten? Does it set the bar higher for all games that come after it? It's just an action game, that happens to be totally badass with great gameplay and amazing graphics, but nothing revolutionary.
I'm gonna say about a 9.0. They're gonna say something stupid like "too similiar to the old game" and take a full point for that or something like "whiny prebuscent teens are inevitable". As if that isn't in EVERY game so far.
I'm gonna have to say 9.5 at the highest, because normally sequels do a little less than their predecessors. However, with the new game engine, better story writing, and a better choice of ways to kill everything, it might be a point or two higher than the first.
