GeoW 1 was incredible and Epic does pretty well on sequels - so even if GeoW 2 turns out to be an extention, many people will still find it worth the money since it's still very fun.

100% sure it will be a sucess. Its got such a loyal fanbase that even if it ends up being pretty much the same as the first one it will still do great.
I'm 99% sure it will. The first Gears is still drawing people in (as in getting people to buy it, myself included. Yes, I don't own Gears, deal with it). Assuming that all those people like the 1st, they should theoretically buy the 2nd.
Yes, without a doubt Gears of War 2 will be a success. Enough people love the game that Gears of War 2 will be an even bigger success than the original Gears.
well my friend, what would you call a "success." Halo 2 was a **** game imo but it still sold so many copies, because of the title, i suggest that if you want to find out for yourself if it will be a success. Play Gears 1, and try and look at everything small that u can see that they you could see them working on, from storyline all the way to reloading the weapons. that's what im doing atm anyway and i can see that (imo) it's going to be a struggle for them to produce a sequal to top off the first game. but never the less its going to be friggen sweet :D
