You can't play games because people talk? You can't spend 1 second of your time to hit the mute button? You can't simply play online and have player chat turned off? I mean, that takes 5 seconds to do, and then you never have to listen to people again.

Perhaps you should look up the word "generalizing," because I was talking about only you, not all of them. If you don't waste your time talking on xbox live, maybe you should do the same thing in these forums; it wastes MORE time here, as you have to type and all that. You would not be missed. Too bad I posted answers as to how to 'get over it'. I explained that you can mute these people, and that you can turn them completely off.

Now, if you want to talk about wastes of time, let's talk about the billiom forum posts that complain about this. There is an easy solution. Several, in fact. Yet these posts are always made complaining about something they can fix. That's not constructive at all. They offer no alternative solutions (not that one is needed).

I am a Christian, and if someone wants to come to me and make fun, or better yet, sit on Xbox Live in their basement and go off on how awful Christians are then be my guest. Let the bigots be bigots, and rather than make fun of them, if you don't agree with what they say, maybe try to figure out why they're saying it so you can change their minds.

i can only think of two reasons:

1) the internet seems to make everyone thing they are the baddest mamma-jamma around, so they say the crap they know would get the holy ghost beat out of them in real life in a place where no one can do anything but listen

2) they could just be racist artards

you know, i havent had that much of a problem with racism... its actually usually just a bunch of kids using "profane ways to express that they think another player is a homosexual.." i usually just put a bad rating on them and then dont run into them anymore. you just have to remember that a lot of players are immature kids who think they are cool by saying what they are saying.

It turns me off to the point of not playing on xbox live. I doubt I'm alone in this and by virtue of that alone I think it's a serious issue for xbox live, much less the world our grandchildren will inherit. Mute em. It's not a solution but it's better than nothing.

For the kid that's telling the TC to stop whining on the interent he just posted his thoughts on an issue he had a strong opinion about in the hopes of striking up a conversation with fellow gamers about the topic. Basically what forums we're invented for. It's not his fault that you're internet prowess has led you to so many threads about racism that you have to bash someone for starting one. Couldn't you just take your own initial advice and mute (or skim past) the thread?
