sure S02 was great, but S03 was mediocre ate best... :?

Yeah, especially considering Star Ocean definitely would have fit in the subject line. Anyways, now that I know what it is, and I can tell you I'm not hyping it, I haven't heard anyone else hype it either. So I don't think anyone is. OP probably just has a couple friends creaming over it or something...

It's easy they enjoy the JRPG genre and there's so few out that when one looks good they have hope in it. I have hope in it because there's so few out there and it's my favorite genre. If it turns out mediocre i can still wait until it gets cheaper to purchase it.

my bad... but if you go to system wars, guys there are pretty much excited over the game... unfortunately for me, i'm excited about the game without knowing anything about it .. T_T

lol fair enough. I stay away from System Wars. You see enough fanboyism around the internet. I'm not gonna walk right into their den...

Looks like a fun game. Thats why i'm hyping it. I'm not hyping it AAAA or anything... especially since Lost Odyssey is a great game and its metacritic is like 78, but I think it'll be a fun game for me.

Honestly, I don't see it getting hyped much. It looks like it'll be a good A game. I have no interest because of the characters, but I'll still acknowledge that it'll be a good game.

Hype, blah blah blah. I don't know why people keep complaining about hype either. It looks great, and it's another well needed JRPG for the 360. What other reasoning should there be? People are excited...and? What's the problem?

I thought the screen shots for the game looked really good. I was looking forword to it. Until I watched some gameplay trailers on youtube... It looks like crap imo. I still might give it a chance when it comes out though. I like JRPG's and I enjoyed the other Star Oceans.

However the name Edge Maverick.... I mean really? Seriously? That has got to be the worst name ever! EVER!

because you fail. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the SO series, I loved SO2, never got to play the third though, didn't own a PS2. Edge Maverick is a ridiculous name though.

Well the only Star Ocean I played was Star Ocean: Till the End of Time and I loved it, I have high expectations for Star Ocean:The Last Hope but as long as the battle formula and character relationships are as good as TTEOT then I'm satisfied. Also I would like to say I don't think there is enough hype for the game, Star Ocean is a really great franchise which most don't even know exist.

I like RPG'S, I liked the battle system that they showed at E3, and I liked Star Ocean.

Sounds like a purchase to me!
