Why does everybody like Carmine? (from Gears of War)

To be honest with you I have no clue as to why everybody likes Carmine.  How do I know this?  Well, whenever I get online with Gears, I see most of the people on the COG side picking Carmine as their guy to play as.  Not only that, but I've seen a lot of people on GS say "Carmine.  That helmet sure looks awesome!".  To me, the reason why I don't like Carmine unlike other people is because 1. He can act pretty stupid at times (one example was that part when (SPOILER) he was like "No, no, I can't take this anymore" and ran straight to the Berserker to get himself shredded into pieces. 2. I don't really find his helmet that interesting at all (I know the glowing eyes may seem cool but the overall helmet design isn't that great).

Now my question to all of you GS'ers out there that know: Why does everybody like Carmine so much??  You tell me.

I think alot of people choose him because it dosent really have to be carmine. It can be any Gear, unlike two people being Cole or something.

 And people pretend to be power rangers. 

I like Carmine becasue he was voted most likely to get shot.

And he didnt get it from the beserker, that was some other noob. Carmine got sniped while he was looking over his gun.

ok... I usually go with Carmine or Baird because they're smaller.

I like Carmine because of his cool goggle-helmet.

 And no. It was an idiot from Coles team that got ripped by the berserker. Carmine got shot in the head by a sniper.

he reminds me of myself.....a cool dude with a helmet and glowing eyes

i actually play as anyone who my other team mates arent usually...so i either be dom or the black one (dont know his name) who would be cool if samuel l jackson played him in a gears movie...sam l makes anyone cool....he could make having your leg blown off cool!SwirvyIrvy

he was talking about the other Carmine looking guy, when he gets killed by the berserker at the end of Act 1

O_o .. Carmine got sniped by a Locus. He didn't run in a Berserker (I've completed the game twice & I'm about to do it a third time). The guy your talking about was part of the helicopter team that was shot down).

The reason I choose him is because hes default... Just another soldier. Just an average Joe. Thats why.

If you ever wonder why my gamertag is Live Player 1... Its because i'm an average joe on XBL live, just another player, but the first to put it in my name.

But he was still stupid enough to have his head out in the open so that the sniper could take it off. At least Kim was goin rambo on tons of locust when RAAM killed him. Personally, my favorite is COLE TRAIN because i love his attitude and rambo skills. And while im at it has anyone heard what he says sometimes when he blows a head off--it cracks me up.
