who here actually bought their xbox360!

my first 360 was a gift.

but my second and third i got myself.

Bought and paid for myself- I was 23 so I had no excuse. Gifts are one thing but if you're one of those spoiled kids driving a Beamer and have everything handed to you, then that annoys me.nitroracer82

I thought it was funny my best friend at that time would always get whatever he wanted for Christmas so that year he wanted an Xbox 360 and his mom gave him the cash to go get it but he had to stand in line outside for 20 hours to get his. He gets home with the system his mom takes it and puts it away for Christmas, he got it from her a few hours later but I still thought it was really funny. Get home after 20 hours of sitting in 10 degree weather with freezing rain and snow only to have the system taken out of your hands.

I was 19 at the time with a 1 year old son, so yeah I had to buy my own. I have bought both of my 360s and my systems from the "Other" companies,lol.

I bought it last week. I was saving money since september

Well, at least he got his at launch... I preordered mine a year before release date and still didn't get mine until March.

Lucky though, I suppose... because PDZ alone would not have made me a happy new 360 owner... however, I got my console in the day Oblivion finally released, which was stellar. Played myself sick that week. :)

My parents bought me a GameBoy.

Every other console after that, I bought (read: had to buy) myself: PSX, Dreamcast, PS2, DSlite, Wii, X360.

That's why I never had a SNES, nor a N64. I couldn't afford it at the time.

I'm 31, so yeah... no Xbox for christmas.

My dad got me a PSP instead. :P

I'm 28 and the last console my parents bought me was the original Playstation when it launched in 1995. I was 16 then. Every console since then has been with my own cash. Besides, no matter which way you look at it $300-$600 is not really that much money to spend on a system that will be supported from 4 to 6 years on average.

Paid for in full by me. Got my paycheck then turned around and spent most of it. Was a great feeling to.

I had to toil away, cleaning the dungeons to earn my Xbox 360 j/k.

I work so I paid for my own.

Yep. It was my freshman year in college at that time. And i had to save work and save. So therfore i was able to buy my own console. lol.

I bought mine shortly after PS3 hit the market. I was a huge PS2 guy, hated original xbox. Gears came out on 360 and that pretty much closed the deal. Ran over to best buy and bought my pro bundle, gears, and an extra joystick. :)

Got mine free with a phone (so i guess i pay in the long run). Contracts up soon so i guess a ps3 is next

Haha, the only games my parents have ever bought me were for the SNES. Rocko's Modern Life and Jurassic Park, used from Blockbuster. Was pretty shocking. My parents are very anti-tech.
