For me it will be Forza 7, and then Shadow of War.
How about you guys/gals :)
I'm currently planning on playing AC Origins first, then maybe try out Wolfenstein 2 and Forza 7. I've got a ton to play on it though as I started saving new games to play them on X after Destiny 2 arrived.
Forza 7 as well, not just because it's the flagship launch title for the XOneX and the first high-profile, fully native 4K AAA game, but I'm currently playing the game anyways and it's fresh in my mind, it's going to be nice getting that big upgrade and immediately noticing all the graphical improvements everywhere. It looks really nice in HDR on my X1S to be honest, I just can't wait to see how much better it will look on the X.
After that it's Gears4 and Forza Horizon 3, then probably Path of Exile. Mostly I will start with the games I've been playing recently and just branch out from there, I own more than half the games on the XOneX enhanced list, so it's going to be great going from one game to another and checking out the various improvements. I definitely want to try Super Lucky Tale on launch, looks fun.
One of the things I will keep in my mind are games that already have had 4K all this time, such as EverSpace, Gears 4, Witcher 3. Those games will likely look more impressive, in my opinion, compared to games such as Halo 5 who never had 4K to begin with. I think there is some work involved in texture programming and if the game never had 4K before, I don't think the final results are just as detailed as a game built for 4K from the ground up, and that's not to say they won't be impressive just slightly less. That's just my opinion though, but it's just to say that I'll probably play those titles first.

I believe you are half-correct with this statement. Although games like Halo 5 and others may not have released with 4K assets in place many, if not most, games are developed with higher quality assets and are then scaled backwards to fit the target machine. So while Halo 5 might have only been 1080p, the assets may have been 1440p or better before they started optimizing textures to fit the limited RAM the X1 had. This might not be the case for all of them, but it's still fairly likely.
@suicidesn0wman: good to know....makes sense. So stoked, about a week and a half left to find out firsthand
Some good choices, I also just bought AC Origins, so i'll checkout that too.
I will try FH3 again also.
Same games I have been playing this month/will be playing next month:
The one I play first depends on who is online. 3-5 are all games I'd only play with a group and the backlog is what I go through to kill time aha.

I'm the same, I have been dying to play Forza 7 as I bought it day one, but have not put it on the hard yet drive so I can't "accidently" play it lol.
@sukraj: Wolfenstein 2 is getting rave reviews looks really good, I'll definitely get that for the holidays, I just want to finish Old Blood first I'm about halfway done

My wife bought me AC origins so i will pop that into my new console. :)
The fact that GS gave it a 7 means I will enjoy it more because their reviews are garbage 99% of the time lol.
Probably CoD: WW2 only because I will be on a streak with that. But I'll have Shadow of War, The Witcher 3, and AC: O to finish and can't wait to see those on the X!

Ah yes I have the Witcher 3 GOTY edition that I haven't started yet, looks like another game to start on the X.
I'll have to pick from all these triple A games. Lucky tale or the new sonic since they drop the same day even though LT isnt really my cup of tea.

I won't be touching Super Lucky Tale, i'm not a big fan of 3D platformers.
@i_p_daily: I'm not really a fan of games like Lucky Tale either even though it kinda reminds me of Mario. However since its launching the same day the X comes out I'll prob grab that and Sonic. If you got EA access you'll be able to play the new Need for Speed game for 10 hours.

I don't have EA access, and besides i'm not in that much of a hurry to play Payback. As a massive Sonic fan growing up I will get the new Sonic game.
First game I ended up playing was Rocket League. Compared to my original Xbox One, the 1X ran the game with zero frame drops (thank god). I also played Shadow of War, but didn't notice any major changes between my OG1 and 1X. This is likely because there is no enhanced patch out yet for Shadow of War.
@i_p_daily: I have mine. I set up the "Scorpio" edition of the Xbox One X last night. For some reason, it shipped on Tuesday. Picked it up yesterday afternoon.
Nice, you lucky bastard lol.

I wonder why that shit never happens in Finland... :/
@redskins4045: I like it so far. I would say I'm not necessarily the target audience (1080p TV). However, my launch X1 is about dead at this point, so I went for it. I have noticed improvements in the games I have played, but nothing crazy.
A lot of the X1X patches aren't even out since the console street date is the upcoming Tuesday. Of the games that already have updates, I plan on trying Halo 5, Gears 4, and Fallout 3.

Or Australia :(
@CRUSHER88: Right on. That’s cool they sent you your console early. I can’t wait till Tuesday so I can finally play AC Origins, Wolfenstein 2, Shadow of War, Need for Speed Payback and Super Lucky’s Tale. I been holding off playing them so I can play them on the X in 4k.
@hrt_rulz01: @i_p_daily: Yo! So did you guys get yours yet? In my Twitter feed it says its XOneX day today in Australia ! Any first impressions to share? Still one more day here for me in Canada. Cheers
@hrt_rulz01: Lucky! No midnight launches in my area so have to wait until tomorrow! Good luck with your hopefully no issues !
Setup is easy, I basically just swapped the HDMI and power cable that came with my Scorpio, the rest I plugged in the back same as XOneS(I think it's pretty much identical to the X1S in terms of inputs).
edit: wow so I played Forza 7, amazing detail, everything is much crisper and details more defined. Halo 5 looks amazing now, much clearer it seems and you can see clearly from far away, too bad it doesn't also support HDR.
Loading up Gears 4 now, you can immediately tell the difference from the title screen, his face so detailed all the pores are more visible. Really having a great time, so many games to go through lol
So I finally got the call that my X was in, went down and picked it up got in the door and my boss called and I was needed at work. I truly believe life is taking the piss out of me lol. So won't be able to play it until after work on Friday :(
@i_p_daily: I was surprised by the weight too, the base x1 is super light in comparison.
On Topic: My plans didn't go as... err.. planned. First game ended up being Destiny 2, it did look cleaner but I can't say for sure since it's not really enhanced and I haven't gotten my 4K TV. I did however have the best matches of my life in a Destiny/Halo Style game. I played some Quantum Break afterwards to see how that changed, I can definitely tell it's better, I just can't say why. I'll have a 4K TV soon and then it's definitely time to pop in AC Origins.

You stained your X with Destiny poo :(
Yeah it must be the power box or something. I think the only one that comes close to or beats it is the original Xbox.
Ok time to set it up and wait for the updates that i'm sure will be there waiting for me lol.
Thumper, it got a 4K enhancement, looks really good too. Aside from that, framerate is super smooth.
Also tried State of Decay, had no X1X enhancement but takes advantage of power offering smoother and more stable framerates and eliminating screen tearing.
Zombie Army Trilogy for most part got okay vanilla XB1 version, the X1X fixes any of the framerate and screen tearing issues it has and whatever the system does help makes the lower quality assets crisper.
Played Mirror's Edge just to see how enhanced BC games play, and wow, really exceeded my expectations. Looks great on my 4K OLED, and Mirror's Edge color design compliments its capabilities too.
Also played >Observer_, by people who brought us Layers of Fear. Both games were great games, but technically ran poor universally on many ststems. Definitely the case with the XB1, but the X1X definitely makes it play significantly less sluggish.
Anyhow, lots of games to test out. Been doing a mix of experimenting with X1X enhanced and non-enhanced games, both current and BC, just to see how the system's new features really help things out.
