I'm pretty sure there is a stampede of buffalo in my 360. Yes, it's that loud. And this is my second one, so I know it's not just a fluke 360. Checking the 360 out though I think the stampede goes by Hitachi....8BITter
when i first sent my xbox for repair i had the sasumg but they replaced it with the benq but know it gone back to repair who knows what one ill get
I had a hitachi one earlier which was fairly quiet, but i had to send that one in. I now have a samsung drive, which is quite a bit louder but nothing too noticeable.rock_boy
my 1st 1 was hitachi the 2nd 1 was samsung the newest one is also the quietest 1 some times but the fan makes it sound like a jet engine or the engine of the frigate level in goldeneye 007 lol
I'm still to check, but if your 360 makes a ton of noise, you can:
Move it as far away as possible and use your controller/remote to switch it on.
Use headphones.
Turn up your stereo/TV/surround sound up REALLY high.
I don't 100% trust this method, but you can buy a cooler.
(Edit: I think I have a BenQ drive).
