I personally love streaming my music from my PC through windows media file sharing. I have my xbox already hooked up to my surround sound, most of my music is on my laptop, and the functionality of being able to control it from the guide blade even during gaming sessions is just awesome.

Same here - I love streaming my music from my PC (laptop). My only complaint is the guide is a little slow on some games, which makes it a little difficult to change songs/playlists during game sessions.

Definitely an awesome feature though.

I connect my Zune to my 360 and control it via the Guide blade. I love that feature, especially for XBLA games.

Can you control the Ipod via the blade, or do you have to use the ipod itself to change songs etc? (if not, this could bring me to purchase a Zune). I love listening to music while I game too. I found that I take things too seriously if I just crank up the volume with no music. Especially on FPS... I get WAY too competetive when my room sounds like a battlefield.

I suppose I'll get an Ipod then. I hear that the Zune software is horrible. And I don't like that it's the size of a brick. BTW... Go listen to the album Colors by Between the Buried and Me. It will change your life in great ways. And make you a better person...

I usually stick with the game's soundtrack but in the case of games that don't actually have one (Crackdown etc.)I usually listen to music stored on my hard drive. If I'm not playing on my 360 I avoid external interference.

My entire music collection is on my music phone, I just connect it to my PC, 360 or whatever when I want to lissen to it. I also ripped some music on my 360 harddrive but I dont feel like going through all that trouble to get my entire music collection on the harddrive.

Considering I use a Mac, I can't really do that streaming stuff, so I just burn music onto my 360 and play it there.

Those of you debating on an ipod or zune you should know any usb storage devive will work. So I would recommend if you are getting an ipod or zune to use primarily with your 360 you should think about getting an external usb harddrive. Cheaper and you can get more storage. I do believe there is a size limit to 250 gig if Im not mistaken. Plus you can also use it to watch videos. Yes the zune software is a pain.

I love using my ipod with my 360 however, if your going to get one make sure the firmware is 1.2.1 or older. Anything that is 1.2.3 and above WILL NOT work with the 360 since Apple got sneaky and changed their firmware.
