What is your favorite Halo game up to this point???

Halo 2 by far.

The introduction of dual wielding. Enough said.

Correct me if I'm wrong,but did'nt Halo:CE have duel wielding.I can't seem to remember.

Damn that's a tough one... it's so hard to pick one over the other because I love them all. If I had to choose, probably Halo 1... mainly because of the nostalgic factor.

But I love them all equally.

The original Halo was just so awesome. It was just such a fresh new experience. I can't wait to play it again on the Xbone.

I don't really like to pick favorites, but for me it comes down to Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST. (Of the ones I have played.)

I voted for ODST. Sure, the game wasn't about Master Chief, and it was short in comparison to the other games. But Firefight was fantastic in that game, and the visual style of the game was cool. It is also the only Halo game I've managed to get all of the achievements for.

Halo2 until the end, Halo3 was great as well. I enjoy Halo more for single player/co-op then I do MP, so 4 was pretty good as well. Cant wait for MCC.

Really hard to pick but i'll go like this ( note : I only played CE , 2 , 3 , 4 and Reach )

thought it was reaally hard to pick . all of them were amazing .

My best game was Halo 2, the MP lasted for years for me.

My worst game was Halo 4. Decent game but definitely not super Halo quality. 343 made Halo 4 and that was their first full Halo video-game.

Not a popular opinion but ODST is probably my favorite. Years before that I had played minutes of Halo 2 and didn't like it and some years after Halo 2 I beat Halo 3 which came with the Xbox bundle I bought but didn't enjoy it much. ODST for some reason really got me into the series and I've enjoyed them all with the exception of H2 which I haven't played since. Firefight was also crazy fun. Looking forward to the MCC to be able to play through the mainline games again.

Halo 3,Halo 2, Halo CE, Halo Reach, Halo 4, Halo Wars, Halo ODST, Halo AE in that order.

I hope Halo 5 returns the series to greatness. The Master Chief Collection is what inspired me to get an Xbox one.

That's a tough one to answer I guess I would have to go with Halo 2.

I found all the Halo games great,but I find the singleplayer in Halo 4 a bit of a disappointment.

@brimmul777: from technical point of view , it was perfect . sound , voice acting , music and Graphics . I LOVED the art style . art style in old halo games was so cold and military ... but Halo 4's style with all those shiny forrunner structures was amazing and very Sci Fi . some areas in the game were very beautiful .
another reason that i loved Halo 4 campaign was the new enemies . I have to admit , I was sick of covenant after playing other 4 games and killing them all the time .

I may be in the minority , but I think Halo 4 had the most Sci Fi and the most exciting and emotional campaign . while older games ( while they are amazing ) have this military feeling . Halo 4 didn't .

i am a single-player only gamer who's only played the first 3 (kid just got halo4 as a b-day present;)) and i can honestly say i have no preference and all are great in my eyes. can't wait to buy the rest down the road.

Halo 3 NO QUESTIONS ASKED, Halo 2 comes in fairly close however. Halo reach has AMAZING online but the campaign was among the weaker ones in the series. I also really loved Halo wars too!

Halo 3 by far. Matchmaking was as good as Halo 2 for me, and the introduction of Forge made custom games (particularly zombies) incredible.

I still remember my friend and I scavenging through our recent players to find an open custom lobby. Zombies, racing, soccer - oh god it was endless.

Unfortunately Reach didn't replicate that experience for me, but I hope I find it again soon.

Toss up between Halo 2 and Reach for me on the multiplayer side which is where I spend most of my time. Liked the Halo 3 story the best.

Halo 2 was the best imo.

Halo 3 was completely dumbed down storywise so it loses out.

Reach comes a close second

Halo 3, I thought it had the best campaign out of all the other halo's. The last mission escaping halo on the warthog :)

It also had the best online community when I used to play back in the day. The online ranking system was also better implemented than the more recent halo games.

I didn't get a chance to play campaign for Halo 4 though. :(

Halo 2 anniversary edition/halo 2 online(h2O) is coming back is what is getting me to buy the xbox one....I can't stand the lonelyness ever since they shut down online for the origional xbox

It's been so long since I played Halo 2.I almost forget the single player.

For me Halo 3 was awesome. I had a lot of fun in them multiplayer and the campaign was good too. I feel like ODST had a better campaign compared to 3 so they are kinda tied for me, plus firefight was insanely fun.

Yeah its been about 10 years or so since I played Halo 2 and I don't remember much about the campaign. I'll probably play all the Halo games in order and I can't wait to see how good they look at 1080p and 60fps.

I`m not a Halo fan, they are solid & fun games but nothing else for me. But i absolutely loved ODST, that game has a phenomenal atmosphere & beautiful music. There ain`t much action as in other Halo games but what there is its great. Would love a similar game in series.

I only listed the top 3 games to me, but I like all of them.

Yes I liked Halo, but the original 2001 Halo wasn't online Xbox live enabled though. Live wasn't up and running until a year later (2002) and Xbox LIVE didn't work with Halo 1 at all. I did LAN the original Halo up a lot though with multiple Xboxes. There was also a gamespy thingie you could use, but not official Xbox Live online service.

I own all Halos. Halo 1 2001 was my first Xbox launch game in fact.

2004's Halo 2 was the first official Xbox Live enabled Halo, so I put hours into Halo 2 a lot more since it was an Xbox Live enabled game...although the Xbox 360 came out a year later in 2005.

All the Halos were Xbox Live online enabled except for Halo 1.

I played them all to death and still own them all which is why I won't be buying Master Chief Collection at full price since I won't get as much value as others.

Halo 3 is what I voted for. It was pretty awesome when it first came out and I completed the story within a few days (which is still a rare thing for me). I really enjoyed doing co-op online with friends and team deathmatch etc. Halo Combat Evolved would tie for second with Halo Reach in terms of they were very good (Halo got me to buy the original Xbox and Reach was a great game but I did not like it was not Master Chief, but saying that, it was a great introduction to some of the story background).

Looking forward to the Halo Master Chief Collection anyway, could be great.

I have to admit,I'm surprised Halo 3 leads the poll.

3) Halo (Awesome MP but I didn't even have live so I only experienced SS)

After 3 it went bad IMO. The MP got dumbed down and became more CoDish. I still had fun with Reach and 4 but they just aren't in the same category of awesomeness as the first 3.

Definitely Halo 2, followed by Halo 4. Halo 2 was just an utter classic, I can't tell you how many custom games I played and how many hours I must have put in.
