I personally prefer any kind of FPS. I think these games are the most innovative and most of the times got a great Multiplayer e.g. CoD 4, Gears and RB6:V.

What games do you prefer?

I was all about the racing and burned out on FPSs until CoD4 came out. If i can get a great game, i like driving and FPSs the most. Hard to choose which one i like more than the other.

I prefer RPGs over FPS. Knowing your going to have to stick with a game for 40+ is commitment, and once your finished you get a sense of accomplishment. You can't really get that from a FPS since they are so short. FPS are second on my list for MP and that wow factor. Oblivion combined both genres for one of the greatest game ever made.

I mostly play Action Adventure, First Person Shooter and Survival Horror. I will buy a game in any other genre if it interests me, but otherwise I just stick to these three genres.

Nowadays it's FPS and TPS (third person shooters). Back then it didn't really hold off as an interesting genre, but since Bioshock came out, the genre has consistantly surprised me with storytelling elegance that in some cases are good and even better than how past RPGs have presented them. After that I would have to say action adventure games (a la Grand Theft Auto, Devil May Cry, Uncharted, etc.) and RPGs.

I'm a big fan of tactical FPSs and RPGs. Next would be other FPS, then TPS, then platform or action/adventure (the lines between those two seem to get blurred).
