The Original Xbox is host to so many great games that many of us grew up with, most notably Halo 2. (MCChas no LAN or system link features and to this day STILL has problems with matchmaking, and they used the glitchy H2 Vista port as a base when they made MCC so it is NOT better then the origina)

@i_p_daily: #ImmortalDreamcastMasterRace will never die. Fun fact: DC still gets new games every year, and not 1 or 2 either, an upwards of 5 on average varying from RPGs to Shoot em' ups to 3d First Person Shooters.

On topic: I know Phil has spoken about it on twitter and on an article if I remember correctly, but he also said the team is too busy with 360 emulation and that if they did do backwards compatibility it wouldn't be for a while.

Ok cool, will look into thanks. Never owned the OG Xbox, but I do have a few cool games, such as Street Fighter anniversary,..... I remember I wasted an entire day back then to find a copy in a store.

There's definitely a few gems on the OG Xbox. Such an underrated console.

There sure is, did you play Armed & Dangerous? It had the best weapons in any shooter i've ever played.

You can pick them up on Ebay these days for like $50 with a couple of games.

Are those the same as the TOCA games we got in the US or did you guys get something we didn't down there? I remember racing V8 Supercars a lot in TOCA 2 & 3. I don't usually do well with heavier vehicles but I loved racing the v8's in TOCA.

Yeah from memory that's what they named the games outside of Aus/NZ.

@hrt_rulz01: To this day, those were the best racing games I ever played online. Incredibly well balanced, controlled well, and you could race really close online without punting the other drivers. Turn 1 on Norisring in the V8s or DTMs, oh man. I'd race with a bunch of guys who would go 4 wide in that tiny little hairpin. Such great racing back then.

Yeah totally agree. I wish Codemasters would make a new V8/TOCA game... but I guess there isn't enough demand for it :(

@hrt_rulz01: Yeah, it sucks man. I remember the gang got together hoping Race Pro would be a replacement for it, that didn't turn out. This gen I was hoping some of them would come back for Project CARS, but I ended up racing alone. Didn't even try Assetto Corsa since I had no one to race with on PrjCars. Pretty much given up all hope of finding another competent racer.

It wasn't just the game being really balanced either, the group I played with were so evenly matched. 1-8 had a shot at the win every single match, all 8 cars nose to tail swapping positions left and right. All of us setting top 200 times world wide. If you can't tell, I really miss those days. Best Racing Ever!

@suicidesn0wman: Yeah I hear ya... I loved that gen as a whole. Still probably my favourite generation of consoles I think (and the OG Xbox is probably still my favourite console). Good times.

@immortaldreamcastmasterrace: I think you should start a poll for MS to buy our beloved Sega and to use the franchises Sega has because we all know Sega isn't going to :(

M$ actually wanted to do that like 7 years ago, but SOJ (SEGA of Japan) wouldn't agree to anything like that. Also SEGA does use there IPs, just not as much as they used to for economic reasons. Just look at how SEGA gave permision to Yu Suzuki to do a Shenmue 3 kickstarter.

PS: and before anyone starts spewing the misinformation abot "Sony/Yu Suzuki owns Shenmue", NO! SEGA owns the IP, Yu Sukuki is still listed as an active dev for SEGA and since he made the first two games and many fans have been begging for the third game to be made, Sega approved Yu's request to finish the series. Son'y only involvement with the game is publishing the PS4 version. SEGA is handling the PC release.

The suffering 1&2... the horror genre is booming and these 2 are classics
