Sick and tired of threads like this about games that have not been released yet. I don't care if its an established franchise, I can think of plenty examples in the history of gaming of sequels or new installments in a franchise that have sucked or disappointed.
This is a tough one... these ones will probably be my favourites of 2011: WWE '12, Gears of War 3 and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. That was tough... but since ORC will be a different game, I chose that over Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, even though I am really excited for that too, as I am Battlefield 3, Saints Row: The Third, Metal Gear Solid HD Trilogy, Silent Hill HD Trilogy, Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X (Xbox Live Arcade), Burnout Crash and this and that... LOL so many! But I am happy with my choices for the time being :). I can not wait for Gears 3 the most, at this point! in a months time it will probably be WWE '12... gaming is awesome :P.
how can you choose your top 3 games from games that aren't even out yet? Unless you mean top 3 awaited with high expectations games, if thats the case then mine already came out.

I think it would be wiser to wait until these games are out to say which are the best.

I agree, what is this top 3 most wanted games this year? or just the best games? If it is the ladder then that's a crazy thing to say about games that haven't came out yet Top 3 most wanted? for me Skyrim, Batman AC and Rage.

In their defense we're actually seeing the progress of these franchise games as they are being made. Before you got a clip here, and a clip there, but nothing that really told you what to expect from the game. Now though, we constantly get updates on the games development progress. I for one think we have enough info on some of the games that haven't released yet to be able to make an educated assumption of whether the game is going to be great, or not. Even with that said I still think it should be top 3 most anticipated games of 2011.

That's what I was doing. Expectations. Sad to say, but I've only played 2 games released this year, and wasn't all that impressed by either of them. Bulletstorm and LA Noire.
Batman: Arkham City, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (I don't care that game WILL be amazing I know it will be, I hope it will be...) and Gears of War 3
My top three games that have already come out this year are, in no particular order: L.A. Noire, Dead Space 2, and Crysis 2. My top three games I'm anticipating for the rest of this year are Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefield 3.
Oh, I thought we were talking about games released , like Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, and Shadows of the Damned. But since we're not, I don't know. I have to play them first.
