Thoughts on Borderlands?

Well, i'm just wondering what you guys think of borderlands...

At the moment I will get it because my friends are getting it and it looks fun, plus i love rpgs!

Just that sort of thing because I was questioning if it was innovative as they say after watching countless interviews and gameplay

Im definetly getting it, though for the pc so i can play Co-op with my friends

i like the multi player idea, but dont like the cartoony graphics.

I like the new graphic look, something different and unique to the genre. And 4 player coop, your character stays with you regardless of who's game you join, and thousands of weapons. If they can pull it off it will be fantastic.

Getting regardless, just looks amazing.

Borderlands is a posibility for me. I mean look at all the games coming out recently. It's all getting too serious. Where's the fun? Games now-a-days have become too serious and the gamer gets too serious and too much into it. I think Borderlands seems really fun and I miss plain ol' fun games! Plus....I love RPG's.

I really want to get Borderlands, I'm sure many of you dont like WoW but the skill trees remind me of that game and I used to play WoW alot, also if I can get my friends to get this, co op would be kick ass.

i have been getting this game since february 2007 when i got GameInformer that announced the game

It looks fantastic. Easily among my most anticipated titles.

As someone wrote onthe BL board: "Living breathing concept art > Gritty shooter #1475"- HarveyTheHammer. So many games coming out this year are a lot more of the same thing (cod:mw2, halo:ODST, assassin creed 2), but its good having a new (and original) IP.

I trust Gearbox and they're becoming, I think, one of my favourite developers. People have to understand, the game didn't really look like Fallout before the art style change. It still had cartoony looking characters that had no distinctive look. It didn't look right. Now it has personality, for better or for worse.

But I'll be buying this (on PC, though) because you really can't go wrong with co-op, and anything influenced even partially by Firefly.

I definetly liked the way it was originally better but, I've warmed up to the idea of the game not taking itself too seriously and the new art style.

I think the artsyle is a nice change of pace, but for the actual game I'm keeping an eye on it though not expecting anything super amazing.
