Recreation. I have a high gamerscore, but that's the cumulative effect of my game playing over the year and a half. I'm a casual gamer with a little bit of skill, I don't play to "pwn n00bz" or to get my gamerscore higher, I play because I enjoy the game. I don't care if I win or lose, it's that I have a good time playing alone or with whoever I happen to be with.
Like my gamer motto says: "Kick back and relax". Take a load off. Put your feet up. Just have a good time, and don't whine if you lose or gloat if you win. My creed is not to "take my game to the next level", rather it is to make the game as fun as possible for whoever I'm playing with, even if that means I end up losing the game. I also scoff at the people with zones like "Pro" or "Underground" when they have a gamerscore of say, 80. Someone on my friend's list does. I know that gamerscore does not signal skill or anything of that type, I've been "skewl'd" by people with a gamerscore of 160, but if you plan on saying you're "Pro", at least have the info to back it up. Family gamers are rather self explanitory, and "Underground" players are rather pathetic. You play for your pleasure, which, unfortunately comes at the cost of someone else having a bit of fun. You're the BxR MLGs of Halo 2, and the Crabwalking Shotgunners of Gears of War. You like to win, but you're a jackass about it. If more people were recreation, XBox Live would be a much better place.
