Stop saying the 360 is a great console.

I've been hearing this getting tossed around quite a bit but its really a misconception. Take my word on this I own one and am no part of any fanboy camp. 360 is the only current gen console I own.

But lets be honest about this. The 360 simply as a console is down right terrible, maybe one of the worst ever.

No next gen format, no standard hdd, everything is add ons. No built in wifi. AND the biggest thing of them all is the terrible reliability. The RROD is an epidemic. Yes 100% of all 360's will fail. Its a matter of if not when.

On the other hand, it does provide really the best gaming you can get for your money. I'm not saying its a bad idea to own one. But dont call the 360 a great console. Just thank, yes thank M$ for buying up exclusives and thank the devs for flocking to the 360 to make such amazing games on. The games are its only strong point but as a console it simply fails.

Ok, well what other reason do you buy a console for other than the games on it? And personally I don't care if it doesn't have an HD DVD player. I didn't buy it to play movies. I bought if for the games.

It's already been said a bunch but I too have my 360 for the games. I don't watch movies or stream music that often on it.

so did i. im not saying you shouldnt buy it but dont act like the hardware is great or even acceptable. buy the games cuz theyre amazing and be glad the devs choose the 360 as their platform

youre seeing the games as part of the console. im saying really the console sucks but be glad it has the games it does becaue theyre the only thing that makes it worth it. which is really the only reason to buy a gaming console. i know games are the most important thing but wouldnt u like reliability to go along with that?

I agree. 360 is a terrible console by itself. If it weren't for Live or it's games, I would have not gotten it. His points are very true: disc scratching, no wifi, overheating, and so on...

I'm having a blast with CoD4, but the 360 is like last gens PS2... unreliable.

sure I want my 360 to work, no question there. but as long as they repair it for free Im not complaining. If I had to pay for it, that would be a whole different story.

but the 360 still has the best online features compared to the others to go along with the games. so overall I think Its the best console at the moment. but thats my opinion
