split-screen Crackdown?

I am not sure but i heard that crackdown split-screen is worse than co-op... why? Does it slow down, or the frame rate drops?

please answear, and can we  turn off the voice of the announcer i heard that it is annoying.

I dont think crackdown supports splitscreen.

There's no split-screen co-op.
