A couple of days ago this kid who is a mutual friend with someone i play regularly with on XBL threatened to hack my account. I've seen him hack into other peoples accounts by going onto their profile and talking in party chat, i also know for a fact that he mods games for achievements. If anyone else wants to help me report him his gamertag is Alex the Mormon.

Forget those idiots. People threaten to do that all the time. The mute button is your friend.

I really wish I could remember how many times I have been threatened by people that they are going to hack my account or come to my house. Neither has ever happened.

Point is... I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I doubt anything is going to happen to you, he's just trying to scare you. Just report him and if it becomes worse just call up MS XBL support and tell them about it.

Just laugh and tell him to **** off. He's not going to hack your account, people constantly say crap like that to try and scare people.

Report the scoundrel and get on with your life. In my experience most threats are empty and a last ditch effort to get under someones skin.

This. People who say stuff like "Im gonna hack you" have no idea what hacking is, not to mention where to even start with.
