Hey guys, I bough Skyrim used and the game has quite a few scratches, I just want to know if its my copy thats messed up and thats why its freezing or if this is something common? I mean its unplayable, I cant advance to certain areas because it just freezes and the load times take over a minute at times. It's not my xbox because I never have had problems with any other game.. so yeah i'm just trying to figure out if this is something common because if thats the case I wont be buying a brand new copy. thanks.

trying installing the game, if you can't, then your problem lies with the scratches. I'd take it back and try and get another "used" copy with less scratches.

Id re-install it. If youve got scratches, you can also sometimes fill them in with that stuff people use for music CDs- it's worked for some of my pc games. Also check ebay for another used copy if you're willing to spend the money.
