Should I by the XBOX360 Arcade consule tomorrow?

Is this the brand that has been having RROD problems? Also, does anybody know where I can purchase a Cheap wireless adaptor for my 360 to play on XBOXlive useing my wifi connection?

The thing is, the money im paying for the 360 with is on a gamestop card. thats why I cant get the pro or premium when the price drops. So I have to get it at gamestop, so back to the first question, are these the ones that have RROD happening to them? Sorry for the lack of information before. You have to look at the back of the console I believe the date is under the serial number. If I were you I wouldnt worry about it though if you buy a new one the chances of getting a console made sometime between now and a year ago are pretty good. Especially if you get it from gamestop where the are constantly selling 360s and getting more stock.

The July 2007 date for Falcon isn't true. There are many factors that determine whether or not it is. From my personal experience anything made after the holidays (i.e. mid-January 2008 ) will definitely have the Falcon. Check the box when you buy it. If is has a 175w power supply, you are guaranteed a Falcon. There are ways to verify if you check out http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/02/05/how-to-spot-a-falcon-65nm-360-in-the-wild/ Apparently the Falcon CPU hasn't resulted in any major drop in failures, because it's the graphics chip that causes most of the problems. I'm on my 5th 360 so I know it's frustrating.

ok ok heres something that prevents RRoD. Get a small desk fan and place it behind the vents of your 360 and turn it on while you play and leave it on for a little while after. It keeps the console significantly cooler and doesnt sap power from it like the nyko ones. It will cost you $5 more, but its worth it for peace of mind. Ive had my console for nearly 2 years now and with that fan i dont need to worry about RRoD.

Umm, I think they were trying to tell me the dates (after8/24/07) is when they started putting the falcon boards and chips in the newer manufactured systems. No need to get upset...

Well im going to pray for the best an follow the advice of (175w power supply on, On consule and power cord box, and manufactured after 8/24/07) but I will tell you guys how it works tomorrow.

I also tried to buy a refurbished one.OMG worst decision of my life. I put GTA IV in an it said "starting a new game" then when the screen went black. After about a hour (it was still black) I reset it and... RROD. I didnt evn get to play it = /. So im getting the ARCADE tomorrow. I would wait for the price drop, but I dont know, Im a try this first, if I cant find the suggested info on the !&%w an falcon chips and all that, I will most likely take it back Sunday and get the PRO for 300 or w/e.
