WHAT parts of gears 1 should be harder in the sequel

It should be:
Easy - You receive little damage, but hand out a lot. Receiving headshots does not occur often. Enemies 75% health
Normal - You receive average damage and hand out the same. Receiving headshots occurs from time to time. Enemies 100% health
Hardcore - You receive above average damage and hand out average damage. Receiving headshots occurs normally. Enemies 125%.
Insane - You receive high damage and dish out normal. Receiving headshots occurst more often. Enemies 150% health.
And for the freakishly good...
Suicide - You receive very high damage and dish out very low. Ammo is scarce, but grenades are not. Receiving headshots occurs often and enemies at 200% health.mastersword007
GoW2 shouldn't depend on damage rates. It should depend on the enemies accuracy with their weapons. All damage rates from enemies and you should stay the same, but the accuracy from your enemies, and the AI they support, should be increased dramatically on each difficulty.
Gears 1 wasn't too difficult or easy for me, some bits were just cheap however and there's too much a gap between Casual and Hardcore, maybe add a another level between that?

They're addressing this, or so I read in the Game Informer special on Gears 2. It said there's going to be four difficulty levels.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but most shooters ever created increase enemy's damage and health as you up the difficulty.
The single player campaign in GoW 1 was made pointlessly harder by the crap AI of your team-mates. Anyone else spend more time running back to Dom because he'd hit the deck than actually fighting? :P
Crash
Whoever says that Gears of War1 was too easy, even on insane with no co-op at all, are gods. I beat Gears of War1 by myself on Insane (I had no once to play with. Shut up :( ) and it caused me to throw my controller at the wall four times. You know the part where you first met the Theron Guards? Never have I witnessed such ass whooping in a single-player campaign.
But yeah, GoW2 should be harder if the game is going to have 4-player co-op.
