Shadowrun has ZERO hype.

I am interested in renting it simply to see what it's like, but watching all the gameplay vids, it looks lame.  Like the devlopers

are taking an inside joke, a game that they've talored to THEIR liking, and now are trying to sell it.  A game based on all of

their tactics and playing styles and interest.  I hate the way they are trying to pack SO much into one game.  There is no

way it'll be balanced for everyone.  I can see it now, all anyone's gonna do is teleport all over the place and glide around.

Lame.

Hype will be a major factor of why the game fails, not 10 bucks.  People literally just don't know about the game.

 The advertising team either sucks, or just plain ol doesn't exist.  When was the last time you saw anything about shadowrun

outside of a gaming message board?  There's no ads for it, nothing to get the word out for it.  It's an entirely new game,

and no one knows a damn thing about it.

A lot of people buy games mainly for the online anyways. A singleplayer campaign will last, what? 6-10 hrs at the most? Then what? You play the multi play. I think it was a smart move. Besides, most developers pay no attention to the online aspect *squints at bunji* and give a great singleplay experience and all your left with is utter s h i t for the online. So sticking with multiplay only and giving you the best experience you will have with buddies is worth more than a good singleplay and a lackluster online mode *squints at id's doom 3 and prey*

you still had to buy hl for cs.. i dunno i saw this game a while ago and i hyped it for myself, once it gets on shelves it will catch peoples attention i think

No way I think this game is going to be a sleeper hit. I am def getting this game without thinking twice. hype is a funny thing it can make or break games, but with games that have little to no hype it can be very good for that game. Word of mouth is the best advertisment for any game. I have a great feeling about this one. Yeah there is not SP but this game is all about the MP.

and yeh, today i went to 'GAME' (UK game shop) and i asked the guy when Shadowrun is released here and he had to check soem book. and he also asked, 'which format?'......so, hypeless?

I've found a few good gameplay videos on youtube (ones where the people were not just acting stupid) and it looks like it could be a great game.

I don't care about the price I bought Counterstrike for the Xbox, Command and Conquer, Battle for Middle Earth, Rainbow Six Vegas and GRAW 2 for the 360 none of them did I care about single player (not that GRAW 2 SP wasn't fun). All about online and co-op with those games. As much as I love single player I don't mind paying $60 if a game has online that I will invest many long hours into. From the looks of the videos I have seen, I think I will love it.

I was really hoping this game would be another multiplayer great, especially since you can do Consoles vs. PC which is groundbreaking. It seemed like a great blend too, FPS with RPG elements.

Hopefully reviews will be good and it will sell well and become a "sleeper hit."

The magic is the coolest part. Its not like its just gonna be infinite magic use whenever u want, you have to recharge the magic everytime you use it. Also it requires A LOT of team work. darkcast

Your the first Shadowrun beta tester I've heard say that so far. Most of the people I've personally seen seem to have loved it.

They bastardized the game and sales will show that.

Shadowrun was NEVER MP in the first place and now they're making it MP only.....with NO story.....

i agree completely. this game is a boss game IMO since it all has to do with online gameplay. halo beta this and home beta that. more hype of betas then a real game thats coming out at the end of this month.

That's hardly fair, GAME are turd. When I asked if I could return second hand copy of Farenheit (sp?) if it wasn't backwards compatible with my 360 the woman said "if you take it out the selophane you can't return it". Not only was the logic stupid but it also breaches the Sale of Good Act 1979 (I'm a law student and this policy with shops p****s me off)

I saw the trailer to this and it does look good, but I'd really like something more than just multiplayer for that price. It seems to be more a fancy tech demo to me, with Microsoft trying harder and harder at this 360-to-PC connectivity that gives me a headache.

 exactly why i will pass on this.  i hate MP online, dont want it.  i dont see any attempt to make this attractive to those of us who dont want to play online.  i for one am tired of every shooter being 70% MP and 30% SP. i wont get all of the achievements for gears because i hate online play.
