Red light in lower right after installing update this morning

When my system restarted after installing the update this morning all I got is a flashing red light in the lower right section and an error screen "E74". I called support and they want me to pay for the repairs. Did the update kill anyone else's system, or was it just coincidence that mine died after the update?

It was going to happen anyway, so it was a coincidence

Thats what I want to know. If it was the system update that did it I want them to fix it for free, if not I have no problem paying for it.

Speaking of red lights. I thought I was going to get one to three red lights last night. I just purchased my Xbox 360 Christmas 2007, but there are chances newer models may still get the RROD. The Xbox title screen froze for a few seconds (longer than it should) while I booted up Graw 2. I was being a bit paranoid and I thought there was going to be a disc drive failure or RROD. Luckily enough for me, nothing. I have never been worried about RROD, but I guess it can happen to any body. More than likely, it wont happen to me because I only play 2-3 hours day or none at all. I might play upwards of 5-8 hours per week. But like I said, it can happen to just anyone, at anytime. Anyways, I'm sorry to hear about your red light incident. I hope you resolve matters with Microsoft so you'll be up and ready for GTA IV (that's if you're getting it). Good luck.

I'm not updating when I go home, lol.

When my friend got the update his 360 started to get crap loads of graphical errors... then screen kept flickering on and off.

He turned it off and then on... It was fine then.

I've started hearing a lot more about this E74 error - is this going to start being another major problem 360s will be getting?Cwagmire21
