Red Dead Redemption 2 Stunning gameplay trailer

Wow...... Don't watch if you want zero spoilers, but this is going to be one of the best games I've ever played no doubt....so happy that unlike GTA5, it will be X-Enhanced. Such beautiful and varied environments. First time we get to see so much of the game.....absolutely breathtaking.

I've never played the first but this looks interesting to say the least.

Looks better than most games I've ever seen. Never played the first game but I will probably pick this one up.

These trailers just aren't getting me hyped for it tbh... I loved the first game, and this does look cool in some ways, but I just can't get super hyped for it. I especially didn't like some of the stuff they talked about in this new trailer, like having to keep your camp morale up etc by doing what sounds like chores. Doesn't sound too appealing to me. Also the stuff they said about different horses for different jobs & looking after your horse... meh, I don't know.

But as I said in the other thread, maybe it'll work in my favour in the end and it will blow me away.

Looked boring, and build a camp until you're run out of town and then you need to build another one, yeah that's going to get tiresome real quick. Also the game looked average, maybe because it was footage from the PRO lol.

@i_p_daily: that is one of the things I like about this game. I haven't played the first one but "gameplay" has really impressed me. It is kinda conflicting since both assassin creed and rdr 2 are coming out in the month.

@watercrack445:we can talk about any games coming to Xbox on this forum, also this game will be X-enhanced, unlike GTA5 which personally I was a little disappointed about that it never got the X patch, but the scope of that game is so big that it's probably harder to upgrade to better graphics after release....with RDR2 it'll be done from the start(presumably unless we hear otherwise), great news for X owners who are getting it.

There are definitely some new elements in the game so we'll have to wait to see how those pan out, but I am also pleased with some of the new RPG elements and everything looks so realistic, the animations during the fight scene.... usually I enjoy Rockstar open world games so I'm confident I will greatly enjoy this game. No matter how I end up feeling about the story, just being able to roam around this world it looks so detailed, that alone for me will be worth the price, I enjoyed that part a lot in the first game I would frequently forget about main campaign missions and just roam around the world on my horse doing various things.

RDR2 is not an RPG, its an open world game and from that trailer it looked boring, there was nothing about it that was great, stunning better than any other open world game.

Oh I didn't know the next AC game is out around the same time, I will be all over that if its like Origins.

@i_p_daily: Was AC Origins different than past AC games? Such a boring series for me, never could get into them...

All the video does is talk about immersion. I'm extremely skeptical that it will have good shooting, which you're gonna spend a huge amount of time doing.

@ezekiel43: they talk a little about it at 3:50, they say shooting and fighting has been radically improved....personally I enjoyed the gun mechanics in the first game with the slow-mo tagging, nothing ground-breaking but for me personally as long as they improve some aspects I should enjoy it. Overall I did prefer it over the GTA shooting mechanics. It's never been Rockstar's strongest quality in their games, the open world they create is what I enjoy the most out of their games.

I've held off watching so far I feel I've seen enough. I just want to play the game.

Looks good, certainly not the best this gen. Also it looks boring as ****, as others have mentioned.

@SecretPolice: That's the spirit.....8 years in development by one of the largest teams, apparently all the Rockstar studios combined have been working on it. What a massive title this will be I can't wait

Yeah they completely changed the combat, added RPG elements, weapons with different abilities, an eagle to scout your surroundings, and plenty of other things.

It looks very pretty. Could turn out to be pretty good! I think I need to play through the first one though. In that respect, I'd have to say I'm more excited about the new Fallout, since I feel like that won't require me to be familiar with the existing story.

I just watched the Digital Foundry analysis of the gameplay footage......hot damn.....this game will look Insane on my TV!
