If you are on your own, yes. If you have a full team of 5 players, then you can normally find a game in seconds. Epic are saying they are working on the slow matchmaking of the game.

Really? I haven't played online for a few days. I must try and check that out later then. I got the game yesterday, got the update, and it is still REALLY slow. I waited 15 min and still didn't get into a game. I have played 1 game within the last hour, and its the only one I have played.

some say its improved, some say it hasn't...i believe epic stated it will take a couple of days to soak the servers...all the stats have been whipped clean, and with an overload of people all average the same stats, its difficult for the system to matchmake at this moment.
here's to hoping its running smooth and clean by next week
its really sad, I loved gears of war 1 in every way, but the way epic just neglected to patch the game for the Xbox kind of worries me with gears 2 im almost kind of glad I don't have the cash to buy it ATM.
