will the PC guitar work on the 360?

im sure it will (just awnsered my own Q?)

oh and what do you think about the Universe at War Earth Defence game trailor?

It should since 360 controllers work on pcs, but to be sure I would call microsoft customer service.

Never tried it, that's actually a pretty good question. I know the X-Plorer controller works on the PC though, there's a freeware program that simulates Guitar Hero (although it's a pretty crummy game with some bad choice of music).
