Portal 2 - Howcome no XBox 360 Cross Platform Support?

Title says it all...

I liked the original and the sequal looks pretty good. I've been looking for a game I could play co-op with my brother in law, problem is I'm a PC gamer, and he plays on the Xbox 360. Now I see there is cross platform support for the PS3 but howcome now for the Xbox?

Valve couldn't get Microsoft to open the network the way Square Enix got to for FFXI. XBL is a closed architecture, and MS wouldn't make any special exceptions to let people connect to Steam.MAILER_DAEMON

Lol, maybe you should try a few PC games before you knock a huge and diverse community. Many PC players would say the same thing about the XBL community.

I think it's a good thing, people should play it on the PC anyway. I've played it for Xbox 360 and it just feels like its easier to control with a keyboard and mouse. If only Microsoft would allow people to connect a USB mouse and keyboard for use in games on the Xbox 360.
