I'm curious to know, I'm a big fan of the RE series and can't wait for RE5, but it seems like alot of people want RE5 because they only played RE4, so I want to know if you guys played the old-school RE games?
I'm pretty sure i've played most of the RE games just been a few years. I'm totally going to love it i played RE4 with my wii and completely loved it. I can't wait to get RE5.
I haven't played a Resident Evil game before at all. I'm trying to get Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for the DS, although I've not found it anywhere (cheap) yet. That'll, oddly, be my introduction to the series.
I haven't actually played any of the big horror series before. No Resident Evil, Silent Hill or Alone in the Dark...

All of them except the ones on phones and gameboys. Played the rest on PS1, GC, DC, PS2.
i have only liked re4 the only one played and beat a few times but i know everything about re0, 1,2,3,mostly because when i was younger my dad played 1-3 and beat them all.when i got 4 i beat it and then he also beat it.i got him 0 and he also beat that for the gamecube.i also own umbrella chronicles and re 4 for the wii.i also have dead aim for ps2 and code veronica for dc but the only ones i play are 4 and chronicles.my dad plays all of them!
I have played every console iteration of the Resident Evil series. RE4 was the best, that is until 5 comes. However, the first Resident Evil scared the living s*** out of me when it was a new thing.
first one i played was the RE remake on the cube. Went on to play 0,2 (on PS), and 4. Cant wait for 5. I gotta say though i miss the zombie enemies but i guess it had to change sometime.
I've played other RE games but I absolutely hated them. On the other hand, RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time. The pacing and controls of the first ones just wasn't for me. I can't wait for RE5 though.
I'm glad to hear that alot of you guys played the real Resident Evil games, while I loved RE4, it wasn't RE at all, they seriously killed the atmosphere, the game wasn't scary at all, and it didn't really felt like a survival horror game, it felt more like a 3rd person shooter to me. ):

Totally agree with you there. The style of the old Resident Evil games created a more tense and eerie atmosphere. But don't get me wrong, Resident Evil 4 was still fantastic!

I've been playing Resident Evil sinse the first one on PS1.
I've also played RE2, RE3, Code Veronica, RE Gamecube remake, RE Zero, RE 4 and most recently RE Umbrella Chronicals.
Played mostly all the previous Re games and loved them. Even though Re4 was very different from the older games in the series, i learn't to really like it. After seeing what RE4 was like and seeing the RE5 trailer, i cant see how capcom can fail to impress. The game just looks amazing.
