Interesting news, apparently several Final Fantasy games are coming to Xbox One in the next few months according to this article. Now to find the time to play these....personally, FF12 would interest me....the others not so much because I already played most of them. And I have yet to play FF15 which I heard is great overall.

Final Fantasy X-2 returns to the world of Spira two years after the beginning of the Eternal Calm. @i_p_daily: That's the one with Squall as the main character right...I think they introduced the gunblade but I could mistaken about that part. Can't believe I still remember that, I played it around 20 years ago ….it was a good one...I had played most of the FF games up until FF13 and that was my last one.

I've only played 7,8 & 9 I think, and found 8 to be the best, that card game was very addictive which is strange because I find all card games boring.

@i_p_daily: I've also played the same ones you have, but also X. X is like a 9.98888, and VIII is like a 9.999999. lol. The gunblade was so sick. At that time, that sound effect was top notch. Guardian Forces all day. What a damn classic.

Also, It's a big win when Xbox gets love from Japan

It is, it seems the Japanese are opening up to the XB1, with such games as Monster Hunter World, and games like Valkyrie Chronicles etc, and that's fine with me as I do love a good old RPG.

I might have played X if it was on the PS2.

Nice.

Sad to see it doesn't include FF8. I really liked the junction system in that game.

Maybe they are gearing up for a remaster ;)

@joshrmeyer: lol actually I trust that person very much and the game came highly recommended to me, but that's OK to each his own, if they did something different then I can understand fans' reactions being split. I prefer to wait to play it and judge it myself one day, but RPG games are very time consuming so I Am taking a little break from them recently. From this list I would also like to try FF12 one day, heard that one is good too and I never played it....most of the others I already played and I do not intend on replaying an RPG but come think of it I really, really enjoyed FF9 as well, so I might bite on a remastered FF9

What is going on with leaving out FF8? I'm glad they're all coming to Xbox but my goodness. No one's getting 8! Baffling.

@hrt_rulz01: I enjoyed them all up until X-2 and 13, both of which I did not enjoy as much as every other game before it for various reasons they were different to me than previous games.

FF7 was the first one to have cutscenes because it was released on the PS1 via the Compact disc format, and had bigger mainstream success as far as I know, from memory. So 7, 9, or X, ... I would recommend either of these, the others you may enjoy them but they are more old school with less pizzazz, they are hardcore turn-based RPGs....I enjoyed them at the time, but right now for someone new I would recommend they start at least with 7 or after. That is just my opinion, and although they share some of the lore, each is a self-contained separate storyline which is one of the things I enjoy about Final Fantasy.

@hrt_rulz01: No problem, it's fun reminiscing about those games, good memories. I should say I never played FF:12 Zodiac Age, that one looks cool it's the main one I want to try from this list.
