not going to make my goal :(

I got my x360 for christmas '06 and my goal was to get 36,000 gamerscore in one year, I'm at 27,560 right now and I don't think I'm going to make it :( note the only sports title I've played was FNR3.

personal side-note. I played 50 games on my original xbox, between fall 2003 and Fall 2006 and I've played almost 40 full (non-arcade) titles on my 360 this year.

What ever happen to playing games for fun? Why are most gamers concerned with their gamerscore? You have a LOT of time on your hands to achieve a 27,000 score in 10 months or so. I have a score of about 3760 or so. I'm a busy guy (married / 16 mth old / work / friends) and I can't even imagine having a gamerscore that high.shaunchgo

Why do people always say this? Noone would go for achievements if they wern't fun to them.. Not only are you playing games for fun and sometimes doing out of the ordinary things (like playing through HL2: Episode 1 using only the gravity gun) AND Making games last longer, you're having fun getting the achievements

People wouldn't get them if they wern't fun, just because you don't enjoy getting them doesn't mean others dont

I do have fun. I take my time, but its apparently faster than other people. I never play a game just for the points, I have to have atleast considered playing it, regardless of gamerscore. Thats why I refuse to play sports games. I dislike sports, I don't care how many points or how fast I could get them, it wouldn't be fun, and its so easy its just not valuable.

I have played a few easy games like Call of Duty 2 that only took 15 hours the first time through to get all 1000.

I do have alot of time, and only two friends but one is too busy working and the other is too busy playing WoW. so I found myself putting alot of time into the 360, but I still got a 3.7 spring semester.
