I bet it's a problem with the composite cable (if you use one.)
Are you using a composite cable with an RGB input or a HDMI?

im using a composite cable with RGB input.

Then maybe it's something to do with the non-AV cables (I've used normal AV cables for about 5 years and never encountered anything like this.)

You got a normal AV or SCART cable for your 360 anywhere? Just to test it.

If "picture card" was your bros terminology, i wouldn't be trusting his knowledge on electronics

Are you using the HD cables that came with the XBOX? What type of televisions are you trying to play it on, HD or SDTV? If your original tv was HD did you remember to switch the button on the xbox cable to SDTV if you connected it to a non-HD tv. Either your cables are dieing on you or your xbox could possibly be overheating and causing the problem.

im using the ones that came with it, on an SDTV. but yeah that overheating thing could possibly be the reason, because there is no air conditioning where i play it. How can i get it fixed?

Well I can tell you exactly what that is man, just got off the phone with xbox tech support about pretty much the same issue .Put in my brand new halo 3 first time using it. Starts loading and all of a sudden i hear the cd getting torn to **** (which has happened to me twice nhl 2008 and madden 2008 ,leaves the huge ring on the cd).. so im quite familiar with the sound so as quick as possible i turned it off ,then back on and ejected my game of halo 3, however my game wasnt really touched. So i turned it back on without the game ,And long behold im screwed my dashboard screen was totally distorted waves of different colour waving through the whole screen ,distorted picture like no other you can tell what screen its on but its messed up totally, tryed switching AV cables and switching t.vs like XBOX 360 Told you to do , cause obviously its never there product (however MICROSOFT IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF **** COMPANY IVE EVER DEALT WITH , ID RATHER SPEAK TO AN ISP TECH SUPPORT IN THE MIDDLE EAST THEN DEAL WITH MICROSOFT ).. So back to my story so obviously the audio/video cord is fine ,my obs three different t,vs are fine . So I call the tech support to find out what exactly the problem is, Apparently its the Audio/Video card in the xbox 360 that is burnt out due to overheating, And long behold my warranty is a month over , so im totally screwed, but it kinda strikes me cause of the huge law suit about the red rings of death,( WHICH i delt with already ,this being my second xbox 360 that I got back from microsoft due to the rings of death.) But if my xbox 360 is **** overheating and burning up my video card. WHY THE **** DOES THAT NOT QUALIFY FOR THE FREE WARRANTY ,BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A RED RING ON MY XBOX IM SCREWED.. its bull****, its caused by the malfunction but different end to the story why the **** should i have to pay 130 canadian and deal with all this **** for the second time..Well to cut things short about ur inquiry it is the video card within your 360 that got overheated and screwed your card up.

your solutions are as follows really, find someone localy to fix it probably cheaper then xbox repair since ive youtubed videos of the xbox 360 coming back worse then before.

Or ship that s,o,b back to microsofts service center for a solid 140 canadian , ( but hey they give you ONE MONTH FREE of gold live membership) sounds worth it , being that you have to wait like 3 weeks and pay 140 dollars,

I find it odd that my 360 broke like 2 weeks outta my warranty, Like I SWARE it feels like bill gates"microsoft' have xbox 360s to shut down literally just after your warranty voids , like does that sound a little far fetched for anybody to belive . Hes building another monopoly i sware hes a **** cheap son of a **** **** you vista **** you xbox , **** you microsoft and YEAH.. most of all **** you bill gates ( Who actually stepped down ,which is strange i think he just came to realize how much **** of his will **** hit the fan soon,

Everything microsoft is bound to break. As much as you enjoy your 1-2 months of whatever you have of microsoft ,cherish it its bound to **** up,and itll most likely happen right after your warrantys out . strange

well keep it safe ,keep it cheap, Keep it Sony
